When exposed to high temperatures, its intumescent elastomer backing is designed to create an insulating buildup of thick, charred matter. This UL Listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant adhesive is formulated to expand in fire to produce a char accumulation between the cable and the flames. These act as a firewall, providing a necessary fire barrier and heat shield to buffer neighboring cables and accessories. |
