Lutron MS-OPS2-WH Passive Infrared Occupancy Sensor Switch, Single Pole, 2 Amp, 120 Volt, White

Specifications

Box Quantity 24
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Compliant N
Application Lighting Control
Associated Comments (MFR) Combines a Maestro switch with a passive infrared occupancy sensor. Detects the heat from occupants moving within an area to determine whether the space is occupied. Based on the feedback from the sensor, the occupancy sensing switch will adjust the load accordingly. Passive infrared sensors with exclusive Lutron XCT Technology for fine motion detection. 180 degree sensor field-of-view. Up to 30 ft x 30 ft (9 m x 9 m) [900 ft2 (81 m2)] major motion coverage and 20 ft x 20 ft (6 m x 6 m) [400 ft2 (36 m2)] minor motion coverage. Can be set to auto-on/auto-off or manual-on/auto-off. Adjustable timeout (1, 5, 15, or 30 minutes) and high/low sensitivity adjustment. Occupancy sensing switch loads: incandescent, halogen, ELV, MLV, CFL, LED, magnetic fluorescent, electronic fluorescent, and fan. Ground wire required.

Marketing Message (MFR) The Lutron Maestro Motion Sensor Switch features Lutron’s advanced motion sensing technology to automatically turn the lights on and off, or manually toggle the lights with the tap switch. The Motion Sensor Switch is rated up to 2A for any lighting type and is single pole only. The passive infrared (PIR) sensor, covered by a tamper resistant lens, detects heat from occupants moving and has a 180-degree field of view (900 sq ft major motion & 400 sq ft minor motion coverage). Equipped with smart ambient light detection (ALD), you can customize your sensor to detect daylight, so lights don't turn on when enough natural light is present in the room. Unlike other manufacturers, Lutron sensors use Cross Correlation Technology (XCT) to also detect fine motion, such as typing at a desk or reading a book – ensuring lights won’t turn off inadvertently when you’re still in the room. Lutron sensors also have an adjustable timeout (1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes) to control how long the lights stay on after leaving the room. Switch the sensor to vacancy mode to meet Title 24 requirements: lights only turn on with a manual press of the tap switch but automatically turn off if the sensor no longer detects motion. The sensitivity of the PIR sensor can also be changed so it only detects larger motion Available in 10+ colors. Pairs perfectly with Lutron Claro wall plates for consistent color matching (sold separately).
